i wouldnt, you may free up a few horses in the engine, but nothing may show at the wheels, you may throw off your alternator operation rate, also your water pump, your better off throwing a 180 tstat into the engine and an K&N FIPK intake if your gonna spend that much IMO
Had that same set.
They do slow down the other accessories (That's the point
) Charging will only be affected at idle, as will cooling.Power steering won't have a noticeable effect. When Idling, my truck would simply NOT charge. Gauge would drop and "CHECK GAUGES" light would come on. As soon as the throttle was touched at all it would resume. Cooling had a very slight reaction when idling for a long period of time, but not huge.
Power? It definatly helped, but not a huge difference. But either do most bolt-ons, so as long as you don't care about those inconveniences, it's a pretty good upgrade. I would look for a used set though. That price is pretty steep. I bought mine for $100 and sold them for $30! Most noticable difference, was how quick it reved.
BTW: I only sold mine because of the supercharger. Definatly don't want to be turning that slower. lol

Oh yeah... if you have a charging issue, you can keep the smallerfactoryalternator pulley on instead of the new one. It will make the alt. spin a little faster. You'll lose a little of the benefit of the UD system, but will regain charging capacity.
i have the march 2 pully steel set, it was $89 for both pullies and i have NO issues my truck does rev quicker and for under $100 it was a pretty decent mod, kind of a pain to get to the crank pulley but i was done in under and hour my truck charger and it doesnt overheat i have a 180 thermostat
