Pictures of 2000 Dakota
Hi!
I don't think I've ever posted my truck.
Anyhow, here are the specs:
2000 Dodge Dakota Sport
Regular Cab black interior
5 Speed Manual (NV3500)
4.7l Magnum V8
3.92 Limited Slip Rear Axle
4x2 Rear Wheel Drive
Flowmaster 40 series SI/DO with Chrome Cannon Exhausts
K&N Plastic Cold Air Intake with K&N Filter
Pioneer DEH-P7600MP Head Unit
Trifecta Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover
Rhinoliner in Black
Billet Specialties 17" Qualifier Rims (Summer Rims)
Goodyear RS/A Tires P255/55R17 (Summer Tires)
KYB Performance Track Gas Shocks
I've been the original owner since I bought it in '00. Not too many problems since owning it. Just minor ones... but easily ironed out. It is one fast truck, and I love how it handles the road. This truck has never been out in the winter or rain, and there is NO rust or corrosion on the frame because the first week I bought it I sprayed the entire underbody with Rustoleum Industrial High Gloss Black. All maintainance has been done by me.
I also want to take the moment to thank all of the people on here that have given me some assistance in fixing it. I also want to thank who ever posted the service manual for the Dakota on here, because it has been a true lifesaver as far as trying to fix anything, which hasn't been much. The only things that I needed info was on a O2 sensor and replace the transmission lubricant. This truck is a VERY good truck, and it's got more road for the rest of it's lifetime.
One last point... it is in storage during the winter months, up on jack stands and covered, in a poll barn, with winter rims, if I ever need to take it out (which would only be if that truck was the absolute last resort for me) during the winter. However, it has been lucky and never saw snow, rain or anything wet besides a garden hose with filtered water. But lots and lots of sunshine!

nice, i bet the 4.7/5spd combo does well in the fuel economy area as well as performance. someone had mentioned that they were in the 20's on the hiway with that combo in a club cab...
looks good. and looks like you really take care of it too. how many miles are on it?

Currently it has got 12,729 miles on it. Not many... but it's all been local drives. Other than that, it just sits in my barn and sleeps.
Everytime I take it out, it is an awesome truck. I get sooo many compliments... and people are shocked when they find out what year it is and the odometer reading.
It's my little toy for the nice days... especially since I waited 3 months for my order to come through when I special ordered it from Dodge at the time.
