Did Dodge ever put a 5.9 in a 4x4 Dakota?
If they did, what years?
My Ram 4x4 has over 217,000 miles on it and doesn't burn a drop of oil.
Sure seems like a good motor with that many miles on it.
Side-note; My 5.2 in the Dakota has 157,000 on it and will burn about
a 1/4 quart of oil every 3 thousand miles... Just wondering.

 

yea they did it was on the SLT trim line only but im not sure what years it was you would have to look it up, but i have seen a few around

 

I think I was only quad cab 4x4's. somewhere around 2000 +

a 1/4 quart every 3000 miles?to me that is not worth the hasle of an engine swap.

 

No, no, no,. Not even thinking of it but, IF-the motor let go,
it might be a thought.
I do know I'd go with some type of stroker if it did let go though.

 

yea i was thinking the same thing thats really not alot, unless you can see it smoking as it burns the oil its really not such a big deal
