Default some questions

Hi new here i have a couple questions about my 1999 dakota sport. It is 4wd but when i put it in 4x4 no light on the dash,is there supposed to be one? And the last one i looked everywhere to find an answer and never did i am getting ready to get new tires and want a mud tire it has 235/75/15 now and i was wondering if i could go with 31/10.5/15 if not what is the biggest size. It is bone stock with stock wheels.I am wanting something with more traction then my good year wanglers they dont hook in nothing lol i hope not to make no one mad with a post about tires. this for the help

31x10.50's will fit thats what a lot of guys have on there's if they dont still have the factor tires on them and i belive that they even came with those stock for some. if you crank your t-bars in the front you can even fit 32x11.50's with maybe a little rubbing thats what i plan on doing when my tires wear out.

yeah you shouldn't have any problems at all with 31's as long as its 4wd i think the 2wd's sit a little lower and might have a problem but im like 99 percent sure your good haha

thanks for the info i was looking at a set of maxxis buckshot mudders and a set of federal COURAGIA M/T they are 45 a tire cheaper but i am not for sure about them yet i am still looking and might also end up with a set of aftermarket rims as well rims and the federal tires is right at 900 mounted balance and a allignment so all i can do is wantand see what i like the best money in the pocket or new wheels lol

that sounds like a good deal and i'd probably do that too those tires i got were just 235's and they were like 580 mount balance and then lifetime rotate and balance for free so 900 for wheels and tires sounds good good luck and if you get them show us some pics

Ansewr to your qestion, yes 31's fit with no mod whatsoever on a 4x4. Thats what I'm running and I love them. It makes the truck look a little bit beefier, and fills the wheel wells nicely.

Yes there should be a light on your dash for 4wd, and yes 31's fit, I have them on mine. There were like 3 or 4 tire size options for '99, and the 31/10.5/15 was a factory option. However I did have to crank my torsion bars some when I put new ones ondue to a little rubbing when I would make sharper turns, and mine is 4wd.
