Bank 1 Sensor 2. bank 1 is the side with the number one cylinder and sensor 2 is after the cat. The 02 sensor probably needs to be replaced or maybe cleaned or you could have an exhaust leak before the 02 sensor.

I had the same code. Drives side rear sensor was pooched. Picked up a new one and put it in, reset the computer, and all was good. Give it a shot and let us know...

250 just to change that. Jesus. You could do it yourself for alot less then half. And still even havemoney to go out to dinner. Or just spend the rest on the truck. Ha ha.

Unhappy I have code 0138 and nee help to please.

Hello, I was reading all of your post and was wondering if I have that code Where do I start to look under the truck because I suck at truck repairs. I just had the tranny rebuilt this week and on the way home the engine light came back on and the code was 0138 again. First can you tell me where the part is and could I do it myself. I can use tools but thats about it. LOL Please email me step by step directions to. I hope there is one one that I have to look for. LOL dromdenne@centurytel.net
Thanks So Much.

look under the truck and find the cat on the exhaust it will be the smaller of the two cases and the one in the front. it should have a sensor right after it and you just unscrew it and swap them out. i'm not sure if you have to splice or anything since i've never had to do this before i'm sure someone else will chime in. you can always try to pull it out and clean it then throw it back in, clear the pcm and see if that fixes it. you might wanna spray some wd40 or something on it a few hours before you try and take it out though becasue i've heard they can sometimes be a bitch to get out

So I got the new Oxygen Senser but I can't get the old one off.
I trying it cold and then I was told to let the truck run so I it would warm it up and it still won't come off. Please give me some more advise on how to get it off (that is the Oxygen Senser). LOL
