Default Cabin air filter

Does anyone know if the 2004's have a cabin air filter ? It's been like 7 degrees here for a couple days, and we noticed there is very little air coming out when you switch to the floor setting, and the dash vents seem weak also ? It still puts out excellent heat, just the velocity seems low even on thr high setting. The blower sounds good, and all the fan speeds work fine ?

I am pretty sure I don't have one in my 2004. It does sound like something is plugged up though. You don't have any snow/ice covering the cowling do you?

My truck is kept in a semi heated garage, so I would expect any ice or snow to melt off it, but it has been real cold here. When my wife left for work this morning I put my torpedo heater out to wam up the garage to wash the truck. I'll run warm water over the cowl to melt anything off. If that doesn't work, I guess I'll start tracing vacuum lines and look for a vacuum leak.

Correct. Your blower motor might be going out, but I bet it is fine.

Sounds like a vacum problem. Sometimes my 03, takes a little while to switch, several minutes.
