Default Headlight High Beam Issue

So im driving home from my girlfriends house. I start my truck and wait 15min before I leave. In calgary its about -30 with the windchill. My high beams were working perfectly fine today. Although during the day it wasn't really as cold as it was now. So anyways im driving and I go to turn on my high beams, and neither of them come on. Just my low beams are working. I looked at the bulb and they didn't look like they were shot at all. Could a possibilty be that its to cold out for the bulbs to turn on? Its never been this cold before and its never happened. And like I said, they were working perfectly fine today.

Check your fuses and the relays under the hood. Yea I know it's cold up here I live about 4 hours away from here. -31 right now without wind chill.

Could it being cold cause the problem though? They said today its -35 without the windchill, and with the windchill its suppose to get up to like over -40.

Just doing some researched and I looked into the multifunction switch. Is it a possibility that the switch went?

Could be. I would check the fuses with the cold weather one of them might have went. Sounds like a fuse though.

Well first i'll check the relays. Then the fuses. Then the multifuntion switch. Go in order from easiest to hardest. Although the switch is just under the knee bolster. Not that hard to change. As for the relays, there under the hood in that black box right? Also how can you tell if its sticking or not?
