Default 5.9L magnum

Well, I phoned around for one of these today, only found ones with over 180k or more. and they wanted 1200, and 1,500. What a rip. I will have to continue looking around I am hoping to get a nice engine and pop it into my 3.9l.
Does anyone have any good wreckers in alberta? Or even in the states as long as the price is justifiable with shipping on it.

You can find several on ebay at any given time for 300-700 (got mine for 345)depending on condition. (used) Usually 2-300 for shipping for most places.

At 1500 bucks, i would just pony up an extra 1k and buy a crate motor.

i did a search on ebay for "5.9 engine" and it came up with quite a few... there were some re-manufactured short and long block 360's and there were also some engines that had been pulled out of trucks for pretty cheap... i think shipping would really hurt you though. If I were you and had the money, i would get a remanufactured block... then you could add heads, valvetrain, intake etc and build a pretty bad *** 360. keep in mind they usually only come with rotating assemblies installed already. the downside would be basically having to get a whole new drivetrain to handle a 300+ horsepower 360.

Does anyone know how hard it is to wire in 2 more injectors to a current wiring harness?

I also found this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/96-97...em250212795802

Will that work for a 5.9?

Question: Will the 5.9L swap into place of the 3.9L? From what I have read yes, but I am not a 100% because some people tell me no can someone clarify this?

Well if your talking replacing nothing more then the motor itself, then no.

With some modifications, yes.

Wiring harness (not sure of the splicing in two more injectors thing)
ECM
transmission (or at least bell housing and flywheel)
possible motor mounts (not sure if they are the same)

Thats just what i can think of right now. Also need to think of small things like TB and headers and such if the 5.9l you buy does not come with them.

Well from what I have heard, the 5.9L matchs into place with the transmission and one mount is a bit off but you can grind it and make it fit? I am not a 100% of this. The harness is the same, just 4 wires needed or something? Ecm, needed for sure. Flywheel just needed to be balanced.

I just wanted to know if I did have to grind or it would just match right up.
