Does anybody on here have much experience with these? The truck I bought had one on it already, and I have had a few small issues with some things.....boost pipe, belt, etc. But I finally have the small problems fixed and now I the thing won't make any boost. It should run about 6-8 psi and it maxes out at about 2-3 now. Everything is tight, nothing seems to be leaking (I smoke tested the piping today...) and I know the blower belt isn't broken because it moves alot of air with the boost pipe off. Anybody have any ideas?
Make sure youa re using the right pulley. That is a direct factor in your psi output. If you have pressure tested the unit and all routing, that would be the first place to look. Most S/C kits come with several pulley sizes for different boost levels.
I do know that it has a 6 psi pulley on it, and when I first got the truck, that was about right. The more I drove it, the more the belt started slipping and now that I got the belt to hold, it doesn't make any boost. I couldn't come up with a way to pressurize the intake system as a whole, but I did get a chance to hook up a smoke machine, and found a couple small leaks in the boost pipe. Even after fixing those, it still doesn't make any boost. It ispossible that there is a leak or something in the line to the gauge, but the truck doesn't feel the same either. It would pull hard at upper RPM's under boost, and now it doesn't. Is it possible that I have a leak after the TB? Thats the only other place I know to look. I even checked the belt routing to make sure I had it rotating the right way.
If it was after the TB then it would have a vacuum leak as well and it would most likely idle/run funny. Does it idle higher than normal? Are you running the factory Intake manifold? I've heard of boost leaking from the plenum pan gasket at the bottom of the manifold.
Check your line leading from the PCV valve to the manfold. If there is excess oil in that line then the boost may be leaking past the plenum gasket, which would pressurize the oil system and valve covers and push oil past the PCV.

I don't have any idle problems at all. The truck runs like it always has but doesn't make any boost now. I have a M1 intake and no oil leaks that I know of. This started happening after I changed the drive belt but I do know that I have the routing correct because I checked the routing with powerdyne's website.
Well if you have an M1 then it can't be the plenum gasket. I don't know man. Do you have a BOV or bypass valve of any kind?

I don't have any bypass or BOV, but I am going to try a different boost gauge this weekend....maybe the power loss is in my head because the gauge doesn't show boost. I used the smoke machine we have a work for EVAP leaks to check all the vacuum lines and boost pipe and outside of a few small leaks I couldn't find anything wrong. Because this truck has a 6BTM box and an FMU there were lines everywhere but I didn't find any there either, so we will see.
