Default Turn signal mods, running light

i bought some aftermarket lights and like to make one of the two front turn signals permantaly lit without blinking, has anyone attempted this. originally ther are 4 bulbs up front, the actual headlight bulb, a small 194 in the bottom corner farthest from the grille and then two 3157 bulbs, the 3157 bulbs will either stay lit and or blink when the levers used, id like to stop juust one from blinking.

i think its as easy as playing around with that one bulb and discconecting the secondary feed that blinks but i also dont want my truck to think i have a bulb out or sumpthin and blink really fast

if anyone has any imput please leave it

moe in wichita ks
i think the mods you are talking about will be illegal in most states. color and how lights turn on are regulated buy ALL states. mostly the state laws says that you have leave lights just like the factory made it.

but what cops will pull you over for is a different matter
as long as it flashes the right color you should be ok

you could wire the secondary from the small corner light, if it flashes fast, you could get a flasher moduale that is usually used for LEDs
both of mine flash like crazy but i've got LED front signals

i want to do it too.
as i only have one bulb on each side anyway, i don't want it to flash
i have a row of LEDs for signals,
i don't like the one bulb flshing with the line of LEDs

I have white LED's in the front turnsignals with a LED flasher and they blink normal. but I dont think it will look right with only 1 bulb on each side blinking.

K, take a resistor and splice into the ground and turn signal line. It will then trick the system into thinking that the bulb is actually there. Thus, allowing you to remove that bulb. I bought a set of halo ring headlights off e-bay. They only had one spot on each side for the turn signal bulbs. So I had to go out and buy a set of resistors (vleds.com) and hook them up. Worked perfectly fine. This solves the problem with the bulb out warning. Also can be used when hooking up leds to turn signals.

Hope this helps. Good luck!
