Ideas for a sub in 2001 dakota quad cab
since its a quad cab you cant put them under the seat. i have an 02 quad cab. i ordered a kicker 10 inch tcvt sub. this is the new slim line sub. i put mine behind the rear seat. all you have to do is relocate your jack to the bed and grind off the holdig tabs that kept it in place. i had the guys at circuit city do mine. as far as an amp goes, i would use the kicker zx 400.1 it will supply the power that the sub needs. its a great combo.
Go to www.crutchfield.com . Then go to the subwoofer section and MTX has a set up for our trucks. It goes under both of the rear seats i am guessing that you just take the old sectional form out. It comes withe two MTX 10" subs and a amp that are built in. i have been wanting to do this but i spent all my money on a new head unit and speakers. It is bakc to saving again. but i think that is your best bet. Good luck.
i looked at crutchfield and they dont have anything specified to fit the dakota quad cab...if im going to do it im going to want something that fits right. Any other ideas? Want to do this so bad!

I have had one friend put his sub over the hump in the back seat, and another replaced the console with a larger one and shoved a sub in there. The amp was placed in a cut-out slot in the middle front seat.
