Default Fix it options?

heres the issue
this
img104.jpg
should look like this
img105.jpg
the damage extends underneath also
i've been tearing my head apart trying to figure out what to do with my truck.
i can either

replace the cab corner. which may be the cheapest option, but can easily become a nightmare

replace the cab, more expensive, but it would be much simpler, almost to the point of easy compared to the cab corner.(i may get a non 'kota beater if i go with this option)

replace the truck, mucho dinero. but i'd keep with a dakota and the 2.5l. i'd just start from scratch. (no beater)

get a beater, turn my dak into a project only, no more daily

get a project 'kota, self explanitory, keep this one as a daily

I think the best would be to sell the truck, for what you'll get for the truck and put in you could buy a new one.

i also think you should get a new one you could probably get one for not to much more than what it would cost to repair and what not depending on which way you choose. jw why not go with a v6 or v8 though if you would get another one?

I honestly thing a v8 is worth the purchase if you want another dakota, yes i4's are good but v8 will probably get close for milage?

ins won't cover it, i got the ticket.

I've decided to fix it, i've been talking to some ohio minitruck guys on another forum. and i'm sure we can do it for the price of parts, food and beer. they have tons more exp than i do

If it were my truck in question i would get a second vechile and make my dak a trail rig. Then i could do the stuff i really wanna do like a SAS and what not. So thats my $.02, get a beater and make your dak a sweet project.
