Yes it comes as a one piece part. It seems that once you get to about 85K you may as well go ahead and change them both as they are about to go anyway. No too hard to do. Don't depend on it being loose as an indicator of wear. Mine wasn't loose at all but it was noisy.

Yeah, I unfortunately waited to long to change it. Melted the god dam plastic thing on the spindle nut. Then had to go to the dealer ship to get a new one. But that noise was soooooooo annoying.

I have this same problem in my first gen. The noise goes away when I the brakes. I need to replace the hub assembly and wheel bearing? It only seems to do it when I turn left. Do they both come in one unit on a first gen?
