I have this same problem in my first gen. The noise goes away when I the brakes. I need to replace the hub assembly and wheel bearing? It only seems to do it when I turn left. Do they both come in one unit on a first gen?
I replaced both on my 95. Not too big a deal. But, yes replace both. If one is bad the other isn't too far behind.

This is what happens when your wheel bearing goes completely

The passenger side front is where it went. Check it out , pretty nuts what can happen.

WOW! Did that come apart while you were driving?
Yea, it scrapped the inside of the rim still was balanced after though lol. Yea, feels like the brakes are stuck on that side and like something burning. The rim was smoking hot when I got it home. Looked at it what was that. And the wheel was slanted lol.
