Default Squealing

when i turn to the left i hear some squealing. it sounds like the front driver side. but its only when i'm turning left and not on the brakes. Could this be a wheel bearing or could it be brakes that are all messed up.

In case noone read my other thread about my brakes, the holes stripped out and i had to drill the hole a little bigger and retap it and use bolts we have at work. Its not much bigger but you never know what can happen.

My guess is that its a hub. I had the same sound and same situation. Mine was even on the drivers side to.

Does it squeal at idle like a belt?

maybe squeal was the wrong word. yesterday was a long day. lol. it definately sounds like metal on metal. like brakes would if they were worn down. The brakes were done a couple months ago so i don't think its them, unless the modification i had to make is making them wear weird.

Yeah I had the same sound. Its the hub. I thought it was my brakes too, but I just changed them yesterday. The sound kept on getting worse and worse. It doesn't make it when I idle, only when you start moving. Am I correct? Is that the same situation with yours?

yes its only when moving. and it does it making left turns and if you hit a pot hole. which there are a lot of in this great city of albany ny. lol.i had a neon a while back and the wheel bearing went in that but they made a humming sound when you turned, it didn't sound like metal on metal with that.

Its most likely the hub then. I had the same sound too. Replaced the hub today and thank god I did. I noticed alot of black dust around the rim of the wheel where the sound was coming from. Metal against metal and it was rubbing so hard that there was dust everywhere. I'd say change the hub. Im almost 100% sure thats whats causing it.
