crap today i had an idea

i put in a drop in air filter along with new plugs and for some reason i lost a lot of torque (but dyno)

well i swapped out the k&n to a regular one

wow what a difference

i was sitting at a light and i decided to test it out at green

lots of chirping

next light i stopped farther away...when it was about to turn green i punched it...should have saw the guys face as i passed him making a smoke show...was totally awesome

(i have the 3.7L v6 and there was alittle water on the ground from melted snow)

i have a v 6 and it had a vaccum leek it was a fitting on right side below the tb, was not hooked to anything so i just blocked it off. hope your fix is that easy.
So fixing the vacuum leak added a lot of power? I think I have one. I plan on buying a 5.9L tb soon, so il hold off till then. But The manifold im not sure. It's so hard to tell...

It ticks constantly when driving getting kind of irritated. I will try the other side manifold it's just so hard to get in there and take it off (pass) That side has all the ac crap and it gets in the way a lot...

I do have a lifter tick, but, it's not that loud. Hah mines very loud. My friend has one sounds exactly the same but his doesn't have an exhaust leak somewhere and you don't hear it inside. I hear it all the time while driving it's very loud for inside a cab.

I wish I could do burn outs. I don't think timberline m/s have good compounds so not sure...

Has any one done the crank position sensor mod on their v6?

Just wondering about that. If I can get this truck to pull a bit more, might just keep it a bit longer. Hoping the tb helps though.

Heh, mines does nothing. But I got pretty big tires on there for a v6 but it does lack low end. I hope the new tb helps and fixing the vacuum a bit helps too. Might do the crank sensor mod, heard it's nice.

But Im selling this soon, and just don't want to get little for it
want a bit more.

make a custom mod
using your windshield washer pump
to spray water at the rear tire 'patch'
and it will be easy to do burnouts with a V6

then laugh at the guys who spend $1200 plus
for 4.56 gears for their 5.7
when the main difference is the ease of burnouts
and they then also suffer
the lower resale value of the used truck
and the lower highway MPG

Also tell yourself that it's a TRUCK not a rice rocket where your constantly redlinining it in nuetral (I hate that!!) drive it like a truck, chirp around the odd corner, haul stuff, and enjoy your truck for what it is... A TRUCK! oh and don't forget to cruise for chicks!! I don't imagine that they like being covered in stinky tire smoke anyways...
