Default Aftermarket headlights

Ok I'm sick of polishing my driver side headlight lense. It yellows over time, just the driver side. The protective coating is delaminating. What is the best aftermarket alternative? I don't want it to look ricer. Pretty much stock appearing is just fine.

Or you could go with halos. They don't look ricer. Pretty dam sexy if you ask me. Plus there's 2 different styles to choose from.

Personally, I like the halogen bucket style, with the clear front lens.

Something like this: http://www.slickcar.com/productdetai...ProductID=2608

Looks stock, looks classy, but probably out-performs the old yellowed housings.

Yeah those ones look pretty nice. But whatever you do, don't buy them off that site or any other site. Get them off e-bay. There ALOT cheaper on e-bay. The headlights I was looking at were around 400 on this one site, and on e-bay they were 150 with shipping. As far as I can remember, the clear corner lenses are cheaper then the halo assembly headlights.

Yes, absolutely. I've seen them for $80/pair on eBay, plus shipping. Even if they charge half that for shipping, $120 isn't bad for a new set of (hopefully) quality headlights with good optics.

Has anyone installed the clear lens halogen reflector lights? Not the projector lenses? How are the optics compared with stock? I really like the OE lights on our Chrysler van -- very nice and sharp upper cutoff with a lot of light flooding the lower area. I would hope that an aftermarket light, even a conventional halogen reflector design, could match that.

The projector ones that I have are amazing. I never have to use my high beams. Very rarely would I ever have to turn them on. Low beam is bright enough. But not bright enought to the point where it blinds oncoming traffic.

I really like the look and Halo affect!

I want to upgrade my 1999 Dakota from the stock setup to something like you have and I have a few questions for you.

What buckets are you using?
Where did you by them?
Did they come with a harness that separates the stock harness?
What bulbs are you using for both high beam and low beam?

Thanks in advance!

Bob
