Default RE: Lowering

i have seen a bunch of kits that say in the description that they work with 17' wheels only. I have factory 15 in wheels on my truck. does that mean that you can't have larger wheels are does it mean only 17. I am kinda ignorant about suspension stuff so sorry if these are stupid quetions i am just know starting to research all of this.

thanks
Matt

what about this kit? http://www.stylintrucks.com/parts.as...;partid=559750

it's a 2/3 drop but im assuming you would have to buy shocks. I am looking at lowering my truck also, but some of them say not for use with factory wheels. why?

OK, now i get it, the djm arms are beefier at the end, so 15" wheels do not have enough space for them

notice how close the stock arm is to the inside of the rim. the DJM arm is wider, and sits lower.

personally,
id get new shocks with any drop, just to smooth things out

and 02dakotakid, no, im not planning on BDing my truck but, plans are always up for retooling.

so really, the only option you have if you want stock wheels is coils up front? I have the 16x8 wheels, still not sure if they would work.

you can get western chassis control arms, they're tubular and should fit.

i would really like to find a one shot kit that has everything i need. I have found a few with coils, blocks, and shocks all around, the only damn problem is that they say 17" wheels only
