More balls for my 3.7...
I have an 04 dakota Quad Cab 4x4 with the lovely 3.7. I recently put a K&N high flow filter in the air box and a 1 in 2 out Flowmaster exhaust. These are the only things I have been able to find to put in my truck to increase any Stats on it. I just got back from my 2nd deployment and got some cash to drop into my truck. What do you guys suggest I do to increase the power and torque in this engine? I've been looking and have come up with nothing. Please help me.
there is quite a bit you could do...
if you just want the feel of the power throw some bigger gears in it...
if you want The Power...throw a Hemi in it...5.7 Hemi is an easy swap
and there is always the idea of SAS
may not actually have the *****...but it'll have the look
post some pics
edit: there is always a way around the mechanical limitations on that engine...as long as you got some money to throw at it
edit: and you could always pay someone to custom u up some headers, port match ****, possibilities are endless
I'll be going on a tour in Jan, so when i come back you can bet your sweet *** that there will be a SAS and Hemi swap lined up for this ****

If you want buy a 4.7 for maybe 2 k more that you sell yours for , yea go for it... Probably worth it.
I agree; don't dump money into your truck just to do it. If you really want more power, sell the truck and buy one with a 4.7L. Or swap yours for a 4.7L. Bolt-ons get expensive over time, and won't get you nearly the power that 2 additional cylinders will.
u could bore teh engine out and build it up turbo?? procharger?? thats all i can think of other then swaping for a v8 but you may not want that b/c of fuel economy

Actually- Turbo or charger wouldn't effect fuel economy that much would it?? That is- if you can keep your foot outta it...lol. But i agree....why build a v6?? It's as wrong as two boys humpin'. LOL
