i do about 60/40 highway to city and average about 16mpg, my best everbeing 17.3 and my worst ever being 14.7...i am taking a trip this weekend and am curious as to what i will get doing straight highway...if anyone is interested ill give those numbers when i get back

 

I get 16 back and forth to work and around town. The best I'm gotten is 21 on the highway.

Get about 17 to 18 city,, 23 to 24 hwy on my 2000 4.7ltr v8 4x4 club cab dak. Yes I do drive it for max fuel economy. In other words I baby it...I usally am not in a hurry when I drive the darn thing...

If I feel the need for speed I break out the viper or the vette.

How big of a tank does this thing have? Thought it was only 18 gallons. Guage was below empty and had 0 mte on the trip computer.

 

i think 14 or 24 gallon, at least thats what my dads manual says but thats for 03

 

Definitely not 24 and is certainly more the 16. is either 18 and i squeeze a little extra in the filler or it is 19-20 gallons.

 

idk thats just what the manual says, my tank is 24 but i have NEVER put in more than 20 even with the light on

 

Anyone with a 2000 Dakota know how big of a tank mine may have? I am getting conflicting information. I am guessing 18-20 gallons.

 

1st + 2nd Generation Dakota's have a 15-16 gallon tank, or an optional 22 gallon.
I'm unsure of what the 3rd generation ones have. Most of what's out there is going to be the 22gallon tank. Dealers pretty much knew the 16 gallon tank wouldn't be a good seller.

 

my dads 03 QC has a 24 i KNOW that for a fact, but for the reg/club cabs i think you are right but im almost positive all the QC have the 24,(not 100%)
