4.7L Towing Question

I have virtually the same set up. My trailer is 2300 kg (5000 lbs) only problem I ever have is the extreme inclines (drop to second gear helps). I am assume you know to, have a trailer with brakes on it.
Other that that no problem, other things I have are add a sway bar control ( vehicle is a little light) and a load distribution hitch.

All good info. Thanks for the responses. I know I have plenty of pad, I think between the brakes, and the sagging rear end, those are my only concerns. I mean I know I can pull the big inclines in 2nd, and there are plenty of those big inclines on the way there. I'm trying to work something out with my dad to use his Navigator instead, but thanks for the replies in case I do end up using the Dakota
