LOL no worries.

im looking at 8" leaf springs:
http://www.superlift.com/Catalog.asp?P=01-322

Currently I need 8" more of lift to level it out completely. so since these are stiffer and im sure dakota springs won't have more arc than a gm what do you guys think? will these be enough? or do I need 10"? i think 10" is too much.

Hopefully someone can help me out with this difficult matter. BTW. the front has 8" lift spring with 2 removed from the pack the rear I would keep at a full 6 for load capacity.

i would go with the 10" if 8 levels it out, throw a bunch of **** in hte bed and you'll be riding cali soon enough, you can always take a little bit out if you need to, but you dont wanna have to add

well im not sure if 8" will level it out. it might it might sit higher who knows. Right now I have a shackle flip with 2 added leafs. probably just added 1" and they were from the front.

But the free arc is 13" + pack thickness

i'd say go with the 8 you can use different size shackles in the front or back then if you need to level it out

So I actually ended up with 6" lift springs. But im sure they will give the lift I need. Since they are for a 3/4 ton and won't drop anywhere as much.. lol.

Reason for the diff pics is that for some reason the oil goes bellow axle tubes but not into them? any ideas? is it bad, or something weird going on? pinion is below the axle, so it's orientated right. Im guessing it's normal but thought I would ask first.

unless the tubes are both bent (doubt it) could be the ring and pinion assembly actually pump oil into the axle tubes, thats my guess. looks good my northern brotha. now get your scrawny canadian a*s down here, help me throw in a 5.9 and do an SAS and axle swap as well. that is one bad assssssssssssss looking truck. thing is a tank. now clean it up for some real pics.

I'm curious about how you set the pinion angle on that. When I did the rear end swap in my truck the research I did told me to set the pinion angle within 3* of being parallel to the transfer case or it will vibrate really bad. I didn't lift it so what I ended up doing was measuring the pinion angle of the factory rear end and matching it when I welded on the spring perches. I can't tell in those pictures very well but the pinion doesn't look like its within 3* of being parallel to the transfer case. I just wanted to point this out before you test drive it (if you haven't already).

It looks sick though, good job on the swap. I hope we'll get to see some awesome flex pics in the next couple months.

Pinion I just angled it up and looked it looks right and welded the perches for the shackle flip.when I did the new springs I just left with whatever i had. Also, I have 12" of lift, so it's a little different than a stock hight rear end.
