why take out a perfectly good fog light??? and all that extra pipe creates weight... on the passenger side of the radiator support there is a little "flap" of rubber. just cut you a hole in it run your pipe out behind the grill. i did mine and it added 6 inches of pipe instead of about 3 feet and the air is just as cool

I just installed my CAI and it didn't come with a heat shield. Any suggestions on what I can build one out of?

i wouldn't use PVC, go to autozone/pepboys/checkers/etc and get some of the pre bent 3' metal tubing and just do that. that way you have the ability to get the performance and also have the option to make it look like you want it to (ie running down to the fogs, etc) or you could go onto ebay and get a cheap one like i did... i can post pics if you wish

I plan on making one over Christmas vaca. Does yours mount to anything? How much of a difference did you notice in performance and sound?

lol bat that just looks funny. Only thing (other than the look) negative thing I see is the hot air.

I just did a drop in K&N and Im very happy with it. My engine bay is VERY dirty from the 1000 hugh puddles. So I wanted the filter to be protected from the water. Just my $.02
