no i just have the rubber sleeves tight enough to where it kind of supports itself. i put it on before my exhaust and i really could notice a difference because you can hear it "sucking" in the air and if you ahve the pedal to the medal, right around 2800-3300 rpms it sounds awesome, the whole cabin pressure changes and it loud as sh@t

 

awesome i can't wait to make on now.
