Default Gas pedal related back fire?

Not sure whats going on but when I am driving and at a certain amount of foot into the gas the engine will go a 1000 rpm, back fire go another backfire and so on... Maybe rotor and cap? Or wires? coil? I don't know...

Any ideas? No oil burned. Im thinking maybe a rusty wire or something?

the little ring on my distributor was broken and for a while i was getting backfires after it rained. moisture was getting in through that bad gasket. check that.

sounds like you're running rich and the pcm isnt correcting it. check your o2's after you check ignition components.

I changed the plugs recently and i thought it would fix it. I can watch the Tach go in like chunks...

when I pulled the plugs they were all nice and clean. I will check the rotor and cap last time I looked it looked like it was being melted... But not sure...

I Changed the coil last night, used some seafoam.

Reset the computer today, still no go... Only happens at a Certain pedal. I don't think it's moisture, but IL have a look.... It hasn't rained till last night...

I am not sure...

No power missing here. I think it's a bad rotor or cap. Maybe something else who knows. Il check the cap and rotor next.

my 99 dak did that awhile ago. when ever I was cruisin along and take my foot off the gas it would back fire. I changed the cap and rotor and it was fine after that. the tip of the rotor was melted. so I would look into that
