crazy suspension idea
so i really want coils instead of leaves in the rear of my R/T. my idea was this: leave the shocks where they are. take off the spring perch's from a JGC (ZJ) and weld them on to my axle and frame. then measure for springs. the only thing i can think of is a problem with axle wrap. what do you guys think?
you ever see the bars that run parallel with the frame rail and hook straight up to the axle? that should take care of it

you're gonna have to custom make your own i believe unless they make a set for the dakotas, these are just a thought

u think this would work but with coils instead of air bags. i would save like 600+ by not getting the air bags.

its not gonna bolt-on, its from air-ride tech, junk stuff,
you would be further ahead and get a weld on coil-over setup, they do make full kits,
or, yes, weld on a 4 link kit (parallel/panhard or triangulated), along with some coil-overs....
not difficult,
of course, do it wrong and you might as well be driving an axle twisting deathtrap....
best of luck to ya!
lol
i can go into details tomorrow if youre really interested
i had to read your post twice before i noticed your "crazy" suspension idea lol

this is a parallel 4 link with a panhard bar, the axle is welded to the mounts in front of the ciols (you can see the notch in the bracket) the front brackets mount to the frame as parallel to the ground as possible, the panhard runs fron the axle side ways to the frame to keep the axle centered,

this is a triangulated 4 link, it also has a notch for the axle before the springs, the big difference is that you have 2 lower link bars that run parallel to the ground and 2 upper link bars that run from the axle to the frame at an angle to keep the axle centered.
