chances are it didnt just 'go away' it is probably just stored. try the on-off trick and see if you can still read a code. then follow the code trail.....

those bosch plugs need to go bye bye, white smoke after start up is normal, thats the condensation steaming off. how long does the white smoke last?

yeah dude you're not exactly evacuating all that condensation considerably fast. my truck will smoke on a cold morning, maybe 50 or below. but not even in 2 mins am i on the highway and already into the throttle blowing everything out. get you're hands on a thermometer gun and with the engine at operating temp, point the gun, considerably close, to each exhaust port on the manifold and get your temp reading. the coldest cylinder is the one that's missing. it can be off by a considerable amount, but anything significant, pull the plug. examining the plug will too tell you whats going on inside the cylinder. however do yourself the favor and put copper core plugs into that engine, those bosch plugs have too high of a resistance, causing them to foul up easily. ive pretty much came to the conclusion dodge ignition systems aren't up there in amperage.

napa carries autolite's, champions, and ngk's last i remember. when i had the autolite's in my truck, i honestly wasnt all too thrilled with them. i switched back to the ngk v power and i seem to get slightly better fuel mileage and more pick up on acceleration. each vehicle is different however.
