I thought I had read somewhere that SCT is available for 99 Dakotas
How about the 3.9L?

rt, there are quite a few chicks driving Dakotas, it's just that not many of them know enough about them to even want to push some extra power out of them.
Caitlin, I found a couple options for ya.
SuperChips brand, part number 3516
http://www.truckcustomizers.com/prod...SCI904.17.html
This one is listed for your truck:
http://www.superchips.com/products.p...dge+Gas+Trucks
Another link:
http://www.theprogrammerstore.com/superchips1.htm
and another brand:
http://www.speedunleashed.com/superc...rogrammer.html

Good Luck picking one!

hughes engines lists the sct tuner for 5.2/5.9 magnum engines, so does KRC performance... neither of them says anything about the 3.9. I've looked into SCT tuners for myself and it looks to me like they wont work with a 3.9. however, you could email someone at hughesengines.com and ask and maybe post back on here with the reply you get... some other people might want to know too.

5.9 and 3.9 use pretty much the same computer except they have a 2 more cyls. and yes it should work with the 3.9 1997 I have a 1997 never tried a computer, but the 1999 comp worked in place of the 3.9 one without anything.

But superchips works for sure:

Even listed on the site.
