Default Autolite 5224 or 3923???

I only see Autolite plugs as 5224's not 3923. What is the correct number I should be looking for? The closest parts store is AZ and they only show 5224. Looking to go one cooler than oem. They're for my '99, 5.2L.

you want the 3923. If i remember correctly the 5224 is a platinum plug, could be wrong. Sounds like you know but avoid the platinum plugs, they run like **** in the magnum motors!

I bought my 3923, that I have yet to put in, at napa. Summit has them aswell, not local but still an option

I thought it was the 3923. Are these the regular cooper core plugs, because the numbers that AZ shows for autolites are in the 5224's. No referance to 3923. Called them and there computers don't show the 3923, but do show 5224 in regular, plat. and double plat. Even looked it up on Rockauto.com and they don't show anything in a 3923, but show Autolites in 5224?? Where are guys getting the 3923 from or should I say where are you getting them from???

Is this what I'm looking for?

know you guys say to avoid the platinum plugs but I put the Bosch +4 platinums in my truck and it runs better than with 3923's and I have been running the platinum+4's for approximatly 700 mi.

Please tell me how you think it works BETTER? Got a dyno or evidence?

3923s have proven to show 2-3hp to the rear end on a DYNO they are not Dodge Magnum Plugs thats why they are not listed, they are shorter then the stock plugs and 1degree cooler. Alot of people that sue Nitrous Oxide or S/C use these along with MSD Hot ignition. They are made for Small 4cyl Engines, but they fit the dodges and whoever found this little idea out pretty smart.

just go down to the A/Z or Wally World and just pick up some 3923s or ASK for them, do not say you need plugs for a 5.9 magnum they will tell you the 3923s are wrong, but they are not and do work better then the platinums

No User I dont have any Dyno slips but I can tell you from the better throttle response and the fact that the engine smoothed out alot after i changed them out and also I get about 2-3 more Mpgs out of them. But you dont have to take my word for it I can just tell you from experience the Bosch Platinum +4's work better than the 3923's in my R/T.

And User if you really want to find out I will be driving back to TX from VA in Nov I can stop by and let you test drive it , just so you can see for youreself plus I would like to check out youre R/T.
