You'll be fine, the I4 IVTEC OHC is a dog Dude my phuckus pwns the EX Hondas I know for a fact, my one friend has one, now if it was an SI, you may have some troubles although in like 100 ft to 200ft intervals you'd get a SI. I used to do it with my 3.9 down on 4th street downtown in the Port from light to light my other buddy and his SI. I could smoke him light to light with the torque but highway where he could wind out he'd pwn me

 

if you're gonna do mountain driving, you will be cornering, get those sway bars. that will help big time

They have 132, there peppy but by no means fast

 

you're going to shake your head at me? you should be shaking your head towards the idiot who thinks his honda is fast. And actually I have raced an old neon R/T during time trials at one of the few times Ive been to the drag strip. It was mostly stock and 2 tenths faster than my 3.9 auto with 3.55 gears with a few mods. I'm saying a 4.7 5 speed with 3.92 gears will own any s h i tbox econo car that comes along.... all that assuming the 4.7 driver can shift at least half decent. Oh, and i'm betting that if i wouldve removed 200 pounds worth of bowling ***** in the bed of my truck that i was too lazy to remove that day, i probably wouldve beaten that neon R/T.

I too drive a 3.9 auto, but that is a Gutles POS, but I don't have mine for speed, thats where I have my 300whp (350wtq+) SRT-4 for.

 

so what are you saying? anything? if your 3.9 is a gutless POS then thats your problem. Mine is definately not fast by any means, and i dont claim it is, im just saying VTEC and Hondas in general are nothing but a big joke, especially if people think they're race cars. I know what speed is all about, Ive got an 03 Harley Wide Glide with a 1450CC v-twin with a stage one kit, sure crotchrockets are alot faster, but thats not what a Harley is for.... however, it will do 0-60 in about 5 seconds and probably a 12 second 1/4 mile (although I've never tried)

 

wink, im not being offensive to the individuals you work with or other special need patients at all. where i was going with that, was that none of us on this board need to ripping each other apart. we're too small of group to deal with this b/s. as for catlin, in case you haven't realized it yet, this forum is for other dodge enthusiasts to assist each other, not to " shake our heads" at one another as well bash our vehicles we drive. yeah the 3.9 is gutless but it gets the truck out of its own way surprise surprise. and i guarantee these engines, on average, will outlast any jap engine built. hell, chrysler stopped producing the 318 because it was way to reliable. the 3.9 is based off of that engine and the 360 share a good portion of the same parts.
