So my roommate just traded his old civic hatch for a 96 civic coupe ex no engine or trans swap completely stock except for a lowering kit and a good old VTEC engine. He wants to race me and I'm like 99% certain I would kill him I just want to make sure. For those that don't know my mods are magnaflow hi flow cat, hooker aerochamber dual exhaust, modded intake, hurst shifter, rebuilt rear with 3.92 gears, removed clutch fan and my superchips tuner that when I fill up with 93 will be set to performance mode. I'm pretty sure I'll crush him but he loves his hondas and thinks because my Dak's a truck it will be able to take me. Let me know what you guys think I think were gonna go Friday or Saturday whichever day the boredum of a weekend at PCT takes over.

 

if you know how to shift, you should be fine.

 

were doin it from a 40-50 roll so dropping to third as long as my tranny acts nice is the only hard shift i have to worry about 4th is a piece of cake and my quickest shift

yeah, id say you're golden. get rid of that muffler and put in a straight pipe. my buddy took off the muffler on his 4.7 99' grand cherokee, cat back straight pipe 3", omg you'd swear a challenger or a charger is rolling through. nope its a lifted maroon grand cherokee with a safari rack with kc daylighters, haha.

 

PlayMaker, you should win. i also have the 4.7 and most of the mods you do and i am pretty confident that you will take him. when is the race?
