Default Need one without ubolting it lol.

I live in an apartment complex and would only be able to do it where you syphon the oil out through the hole and put some back in. If my raise kicks in soon I will pay someone to do it lol. I think i figured it out, I will just buy one of the suction pumps from autzone and suck all i can out. Then I just need to find out if i have limited slip or not and what fluid to put in.

i know you can just take off the cover on a 1500 chevy.....is it not the same for a dakota?....thats what i would do is just undo the bolts and drain i that way adn just fill it back up when u put the cover back on....im sure theres a drain plug at the top of it...isnt there?

I think from what i have interpreted he lives in a complex so he is not able to get any fluid on the ground from the rules. Yes you are right that is the easiest way to do it, that is how i did. Also did not affend either.

syllinx- Do you have a drain pan. If you do just take an old cloth of some sort and lay it under the pan and change the oil. If you cant do this that i would just suck it out. good luck

get one of those large plastic buckets from walmart (container i should say) rectangular, and pull all the bolts out and get as much as you can in the bucket, if it's one that the right size i don't see how you will get it on the ground.

That or pay someone to do it or borrow a friends garage...

Could STILL make a mess,..
He opens the rear-cover, it's time to
clean both the cover & the rear-end
to get a good seal when he closes it
up again. Sitting there in the parking lot,
he's gonna have a at-least small mess.
Use a Turkey-Baster with a small vacume
line on the end of it. Might take a while but,
he should get it out without the mess.
(Just be sure to clean that up before you
put it back in the kitchen drawer)!! After all,
turkey day is coming,.. Don't want your bird
smellin like your rear-end!
