Squeaky Suspension?
My 98 dakota 4x4 has recently developed a squeak somewhere in the front suspension. It is most prominent on the front drivers side but there is the same squeak starting on the passenger side. Has any one else had this problem or does any one know what it might be. Thanks in advance
It actually still runs great and shifts great. And it still looks good too. It has exactly 297k on it right now and I have only a few problems to fix:
Heater core - Working on now
Clockspring - Working on now
Door ajar - Taking to dealer
And I guess maybe I might need to look at the ball joints and bushings.
But other than those few things, the truck is really exceptional. When I crank it up when its cold there is absolutely no rattle or bottom end noise like many motors have with this many miles on it.

My brother-in-law's Tundra died at like 280k or so. I'll have to rub this in a little since he thinks Tundras are the greatest thing ever. Original drivetrain still? Manual? How long have you owned it?
Those Tundras are pretty good trucks I have to admit! But yeah! You should rub it in a little!
Mine still has the original drive train (2.5 LTR 4cyl) and has a manual 5 speed. I have had the truck less than 1 year and the people who had it before me own a pest control company and so most all of these miles are hard in town miles.
The guy believed in changing the oil and from what I am told, Dodge has done the maint on this vehicle since it was new.
