Default Paint my Dakota bumper black gloss or dull?

Greetings Dakota truck guys and gals,
I traded my old 65 GMC pickup truck straight up for a really nice black shiny 97 Dakota Sport 4x4. It had some front end damage and I've almost finished the repairing. Getting ready to paint the front bumper. The cowling is shiny black...do I paint the bumper shiny black too or go for a dull black? I'll paint it whatever color the most responses say to do.
Thanks in advance for a quickie response.
Signed,
dazeofmylife...and I mean it!

High-Gloss/Clear-Coat... It will look the best.

Flat-Black won't look right in my op.

Semi-Gloss STILL would not look quite right.

i would go for flat black, its simplest to do, but if you want the extra protection/shine go w/ a gloss and a clear coat,
when i did the one on my old truck i did it flat black and it looked GOOD when i finished so thats my recomendation

i like the all color matched look...i got hit in the rear and i've having my buddy repaint either mine if we can fix it or the new one i get all green and eventually wanna paint the black in the front green too so i'd say shiny

At least put a few coats of clear on it. That way it will have the added layer of protection and you will be able to buff/polish it without damaging the paint.

since i can't see the truck itself... do what will match the already present color. if you wanted to you could clearcoat/gloss it to make it look good.

Match it to the rest of the truck as best you can. If the whole rest of the truck is gloss black a flat black bumper will stick out like a sore thumb.

Default Thanks guys for the paint responses.

To all who responded...
Since my truck is shiny gloss black...I'm going with the shiny gloss front bumper. Many thanks for the imput. I nixed the multi-colored idea!!!!!!!!

I will be painting my front and repainting my rear with undercoat. I like the look, very off-road. But thats my style I spose

If its gonna be a road truck tho I agree with the color match.
