Default what could this be?

so i got my trans rebuilt. got it back, and she shifts GREAT!.......... one problem tho. every now and then it will still miss the 1-2 WOT shift. i took it back b/c its under warranty, they looked at it. said everything is OK. took it to a different place, looked at it, said everything is OK.... now what? someone suggested that my cats could be clogged (idk how that would help me but OK whatever) and another suggestion was to go to a high flowing fuel pump b/c maybe its not getting the fuel it need in the high RPM. ooookkkk......... but how would that affect the shifting????? any input is welcome guys, lets figure this one out!

you are telling me that the 1-2 shift at WOT will miss now and them. did you sit in the truck and drive around with him to show him what happens? if it is missing a shift there is a problem. dos it not shift hard or does it just go from 1-3rd?

youre haveing trouble with the 1-2 shift. where she will over rev past the shift point. i read up something about this, had to do with radio interference with the transmission. something like that if i recall correctly. mine does the same thing too. i was told by my tranny rebuilder, also a good buddy of mine " well, stop trying to jam your foot through the floor board dumba$$." so whenever i do it, i jsut let off the throttle and get back into it and she shifts.

it just revs past where it should shift and hits the rev limiter. and fox, yes that's what i do but it sucks having to do it. and the times when it does grab and shift like its supposed to, it shifts nice and firm just like it should. the only other option is to manually shift it 1-2-D (OD off) as suggested by User a while ago. also, can you explain more about this radio interference? interference from where? you tellin my my transmission doesn't like listening to Toby Keith?

unless you have a manual valve body in that trans, id never shift that lever like as if it were a stick. if im not mistake., different valves control each gear range according to the service manual. what i remember from hearing about the radio interference was something concerning radio interference and a draw on the alternator. try driving with everything off ( radio, lights, hvac) and try it then. if i find anything about it, il let you know. i like doing it that way, kinda makes me feel like i have a 5 speed

yeah i will agree that 5th gear is pretty dog-ish even with the V8... if you are going 75-90 its ok and above 90 it gets up and moves pretty good... not that i would know from expereicne or anything he he
