The cam position sensor is located under the distributor, and goes by any name some random person whats to call it.
It's circular and flat.

it also depends on what engine you have, the 4.7 has it under the passenger side head i think, if i remember correctly, its been a while since i changed mine but the 5.2 and 5.9s are in the distributor

And since there is no info in your sig about your ride , other than a guess from your name , it is kind of hard to help you out.

By your sign in name I'm gonna assume you have a 3.9l engine. If so the pick up coil(some call it a can sensor) is directly under the distributor cap. It's round and flat with a wire harness hanging off it. Very easy change.

All you have to do is take the distributor cap off. You may have to disconnect some spark plug wires (please, for your sake, make sure you label them before you take them off, otherwise it will cause all kinds of driveability problems)
It's really easy.
