How long have your stock clutches lasted? I assume they last long if you treat them right.

yeah we were talking about that, i guess if you treat it right and don't deliberately try to **** it up, 150,000+ miles (in some cases)

i know a guy who bought an evo and replaced two clutches in 15k miles... its all about how good you are at driving stick (he obviously wasn't very good haha)

haha i've heard good things about the centerforce stage 1,2,3 is just its holding ability and the higher you go the stiffer it is so unless your goin high horsepower i'd say there stock replacement that i think they say holds 30% better would be good.

stage 2 will do you fine, actually stage 1 would work, any clutch disc bigger than stock will last longer and will be much softer in the pedal
stage 2 is good for a built street motor say up to 500 horse
stage 3, track only, unless you want a leg that looks like a mules hindleg,

i've never done one, i had a shop do mine 3 years ago,
but its not that hard to do one man,

i just wouldnt recommend it unless you have a lift
you have to drop the trans. pull it out of the way, remove the old clutch pack, which is your springs and friction disc, set the alignment tool in, install the new clutch pack, remove alignment tool, re-install trans...

i drove a buddy's STi with a stage three on there and it engaged within the first 1/4 to 1/2 INCH of pedal travel... a lot of fun for driving fast, not so much fun for when towing a trailer thats why if i do something i will only get a stage 1
