even if the tranny is shot go get yourself a nice shift kit and stall and look at it as a positive.

another thing, your R/T has aluminum heads, you may have warped it, causing compression problems, which trust me, will fudge up your temp and everything,

Even if washing the truck didn't cause the problem I def wouldn't wash my truck while the engine was running or even if it was hot. Im sure your a smart enough person to know what happens when you take cold water and introduce it to hot metal...

I have a feeling it's the torque converter that failed...

you can also short out electrical connections by doing that too. And btw batty, 5.9's came stock with cast iron heads, although im not sure if user has stock heads. But even if they were cast iron they could still crack.

Heads are fine, electrical issue is fine, washing your engine bay with engine cleaner and spot free rinse while the engine is running is OK. That is how i clean my engine, the engine was not hot enough and i did not cool it down enough to cause any damage.

The problem seems to be...

1. Torque converter cracked...
2. Front Main Seal is poop.
3. Pump is bad and leaking.

I'm taking off work Friday and im going to work Thursday night all the way to whatever time it takes me to fix it (if i can get the parts) so its done for my date on Sat, and the truck meet on Sunday.. and ill be getting my new seats in Thursday.. hopefully i can install them when i finish.

as for the R/T coming with Aluminum heads stock.. ahahahah, i wish. They are Cast Iron, even the "Mopar R/T Heads" are cast iron, and not aluminum, but the heads are fine.. (for now)...

think i have figured out the problem a few other sites have given me hints in the correct direction.. now its time to get my hands dirty.

Im going to upgrade the TC to a Stall and get a 2600+ and have a new valve body biult for it later as i dont have the funds right now. Since i just dropped 500+ on the seats i have coming..
