o and on one site i think i might have found 2x Mopar PCMs for your year one has no price the other is 225.. im sure you can get it shipped for 200 easy.

im checking another site right now.

ok another one here..

90obo 2000 r/t durango.
and 150 for a 2000 dak..

im not sure if the Durango one will work since they have AWD.. but to play it safe iwould stick to dakotas unless you can figure it out.

I'm going to vote for the transgo kit + rebuild.

Default auto trans

i started driving in 1965, have driven only chryslers. maybe 20 or so cars/trucks. the early cars with tourqflites never gave trouble. i had a chrysler 300 L once i used reverse to stop on the ice, it stayed together.
i sent a e-mail to chrysler on this subject. i think i know what is going on, the electronics enginers have to justify there jobs.

moe im with you 100% on this one. its not like the electronic trans internals actually improved anything in the transmissions. There is absolutely no reason for it at all.

they do the electronics so they can optimize the shifting for maximum fuel economy... still stupid in my opinion...

does shifting the trans 500 RPM early REALLY save fuel, or does it make the engine lag post-shift?

theoretically, basically when the EPA does its tests, it is so far from real world driving conditions its not even funny... in the real world... yes it does lag. however, it does save fuel so that for the EPA, it can get rated higher, creating more sales (theoretically again)
