Default Proper Size

I have a 2001 Dakota SLT Extended Cab 4x4 w/ 4.7L V8 auto. I am going to be in need of tires soon, and was wondering what the correct size for my truck is. I bougth the truck used, 2 1/2 week ago. The tires on it now are 255/65/16. Is that the standard stock size? What size tire is the computer set for from the factory? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx for your time,

Chris

that could be the right size. call up the dealership with your vin if its that big of a deal. generally everyone on here goes to bigger tires. factory size tires IMO dont fill out the wheel well enough. 30x9.5R15 filled out my wheel well nicely without going to drastic in size to change the speedo and make my v6 wonder work any harder than it already does.
