Arrow can someone direct me.....

I am looking for a post i saw awhile back on a 4.7 dakota with a custom cai a guy pieced together with pvc tubing and a cone filter. Please dont tell me to search because I did for close to a hour before posting this. for the most part I just need the measurements because I have no idea how to measure and make it realistically fit. Thanks for everything!

be forewarned, PVC, when heated, releases chlorine into your intake.
you probably wont notice any differences for a while but it can eventually play havoc with some sensors, cause poor fuel burn, and exaust codes

just go on ebay there is some pretty good intakes on there for real cheap ive got the dual intake one on my 04 dak and it loves it. you might want to find some k&n cone filters for it or some high quality filter. i didnt use the ones that came with it. i didnt know how good they were. but it works, looks, and sounds great. that way you dont have to have pvc pipe under the hood of your truck.

yeah its a tough decision since I know plenty of people with diesels who run the home made pvc setup. I would not trust the air filters that come with the ebay intakes....as long as I could make sure the k&n filter would fit

i guess the difference for me is just trusting the k&n name and how long they have been around for....i might pm the guy who built the pvc intake and see what adhesive he used to seal off and connect each piece/bend

thanks
