Default 5.9 help

So i finished my swap. Wired in the 2 injectors, everything is good to go. I plugged the ECU in and tried firing it up. It cranks fine but it wont start. Inside the cabin the fuel gauge shows empty even though i just went out and put in 30 litres in the truck because i thought that was the problem. I believe im getting spark, because when i use quick start it fires up for a second. Any ideas?

the motor is a 97 or 98 from a ram. My dakota is a 97. The computer was from a 96 ram 5.2

well it plugs into the computer... I know the earlier models had one big plug. I guess I'll get a computer from a 97 or newer 5.9 or 5.2 and see if it works

HEY NOW, calm down wait for some others to chime in. i know there are things like 'cali' computers and security computers that can make a difference. i just dont want you spending a ton of cash on my hunch. wait for someone else to chime in to confirm my theory or submit their own.

sounds like the something is different. My comp works but it was a newer one and the one that came with the motor. I would see if you can get the one that you got from the motor. If nothing changed other than the wires. Check them and make sure all the pinouts are still there.
