oil pan
the cover i believe bolts in with two bolts on the tranny too. The one on the left and the one on the right. Than it should slide out, but it's still a tight fit.
yeah....got that....the eng/tran has slipped forward.....which i think is causing the oil pan not to 'slide' out....i'm got the tranny back to where the mount bolts are in the holes but there are at the very front of the slots.....i'm now trying to shimmy in back some
i know this was forever ago but commenting may help someone else in the future. unbolt the motor mounts use hoist to lift up motor undo pan bolts after draining remove oil filter remove oil pump and take out of pan. then dont fully remove pan get lifter up as far you can (the engine) then clean rest of oil out of pan then just move pan to right or left out the way so you can clean off engine of old gasket make sure its good and cleaned off, move pan to other side to do other side of engine then clean the pan use angled mirror and light to see if you got the pan good enough put gasket on use little sealer on corners of the u shape part of gasket and put on and torque to spec. And re assemble lot easier than having to to take everything else off to get the pan fully off for just a gasket only remove it fully if being replaced and you can buy after market pan that makes it so you dont got to lift motor or remove anything else.
how do you do it?[/QUOTE]
