I've got some Hedman Headers on my 408 stroker motor. I just had them on/off doing a motor rebuild. They are Shorties which seem to flow just fine and are simple to put in, 20 minutes each. I helped a friend with LT's on a 98 Trans Am and we had the same issue, PITA! Good luck!
If your still having trouble with the passenger side due to the a/c canister i would just lose the a/c all together. From what it sounds like your making this thing to be i dont think a/c is necessary, though when is it ever.
I personally installed (by myself) long tube headers, (along with high flow cats, and high flow mufflers) on both my Vette and my Viper. Each install took me about 8 hours to do but was well worth the effort.
Anyone know where I can get a set of long tube headers for my 4.7 liter 2000 4x4 Dak? I've not been able to locate a set.
they dont make them for the 4.7 i have seen 1 guy make his own using the 5.7 hemi long tubes but thats a ton of work. Ron from spintech makes them for the 360's but not the 4.7...yet.

Do you know Ron from spintech? If so, could you tell him to get his rear in gear and start producing them
