Default long tubes make me want to punch babies.

WHAT A COMPLETE FILTHY ***** THESE THINGS ARE! the manifolds came of wonderfully and everything is going great....then, it all goes to hell. the driver side wont go in until we removed the starter and steering shaft. ok, done, now it wont sit right because of the boxed portion of the lower control arms. can i hack that boxed part off? and, the shift cable decided to be a ***** and just ride the primaries all the way down. advice? the passenger side, well thats even more of a joke. the header wont even go in until i figure a way around the AC bull****. i just dont know what to do there. anyway, its been like 4 hours of work so far and i really am just giving up for the day, it's getting late, cold, and dark, and i have to be up for work at 5:45 am. i'll have pics up later. any advice is more than welcome.

headers are always a bitch. I helped a friend put some on his 96 mustang and he had to pull the motor out a little so they would fit in. It was a total bitch.

I think longtubes period are PITA's on the newer vehicles.

We put hedman's on our 454 dually, went on without having to remove anything but the old manifolds. Granted, you can fit an entire person between the engine and framerail on both sides with no exhaust installed

Do those headers not hang down too low?

This is what rtspeeddemon posted over at VD about your situation:

I assume your trying this on the ground which is v i r t u a l l y impossible to do. The passenger side needs to be installed in sections that is why they made it so the 1 tube etc comes off. They will fit but get it on a hoist and its far easier.

Unfortunately mine are long gone sold them as they are not used on my new project.
