Hi all,

I'm about to start working on putting a piggyback system on my friend's '98 dakota r/t. It's an IDA automotive SMT6 setup. One of the things I'm going to need to know is what type of signal the computer receives to determine when to fire the plugs. If it's a crank trigger, I need to know how many teeth it has, and if any are missing, how many. Also, knowing whether the sensor is a hall effect type with a squarewave output or a magnetic type with a sine wave output would be helpful. These are things that the software is going to need to know.

Do any of you guys know this stuff?

Boy, this is quiet as a fart in church. Does no one know? I'd like to avoid borrowing an oscilliscope to see the output of this one sensor.

It needn't be an r/t-those trucks got essentially the same magnum 360 as any other truck or even van.
