I got some extra money right now and im trying to decide between a Brush gaurd,push bar,bull bar or nerf bars. If you got any of those on your truck post pics. Just today ive spent about 4-5hours looking at all different kinds and different sites. What do you guys think(include make/model if you can) Any cheap places to order from? It's hard to decide what to get cause I would like to see what it looks like on a dak I just dont want to end up with something that I dont like. Im thinking the brush guard with headlight guards is going to be too much but I dont really know until I see a good pic of one on a dak. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I personally like the ones that look like a trophy truck, kinda like the street hummer has.

Two simple bars coming up, a light bar between them at bumper level, then some 1" bar that goes out to the headlights and back, with expended metal over the radiator.

edit- not quite so complex and heavy, but you get the idea. Maybe a combination.

i too like that look, unless you are short or your truck is lifted, IMO nerf bars on a dakota look lame but i would try and go with a brush guard... do you have pictures of ones you are looking at?

I planned on adding a lift to my truck this summer so I thought nerfs would be nice and make it look better but they are kinda pointless on a stock truck

 

bull bar is my favorite i think i'd say that sober too

 

my thing is, I don't like the little things that go in front of the headlights. I can see if you need them if you're gonna be fitting a 7 foot truck down a 6 foot trail, but just to do "normal" stuff and look good, i don't like them, takes toomuch personality from the truck. Plus they make it look busy on our trucks.

IMO i'm one of those that would go build one of my own to do whatever i needed it to do per application...

 

I saw a 2nd gen all green dak sport with black brush guard and it looked pretty good. I think with my chrome in the front it wouldn't look right with a black one and I think a all chrome one would be too much chrome so I think that is out. I do like the bull bar not sure on the push bar tho. I designed the bumpers for on my ram it was pretty simple. I can weld but I dont have much experience with it so its hard to find someone who will do it/ has the time.

weld it together yourself then rhino line it. cheap, practical, and a sens of D.I.Y. accomplishment.
