Please don't do that! Bondo was never designed to fill in holes and will eventually crack. I've seen it happen way too many times. If you go through the trouble of filling in the holes and repainting, use a welder!

i would jsut keep the badges in... seems like an awful lot of time that could be better spent elsewhere IMHO

I won't bondo the holes. If were to fill them I would weld them and have them sprayed properly, however, I can't afford to do that, so the badges stay for now. I'd rather buy a new badge then go through the hassle of filling in the holes and have it done right, because I won't do anything half assed on this truck.

I'm gonna go get a new badge tomorrow at the dealer, and while I'm there ask about the carbon fiber ones...

The new V8 Badges dont have the pins you are talking about. They are just stuck on and we only have one and its on the tailgate No more fender badging except for 4x4 Stickers on some of the trucks... I opted for just the badges on the tailgate

Those eraser pad will work, but not very well on vinal decals... it will get the decals off but it will melt the vinal at the same time and be a mess. The only other way to get them off is with a heat gun and plastic scraper. It's up to you.

Sorry, but nothing will get rid of ghost lines except time... they will eventually fade away.
FYI: They make a universal arbor for those pneumatic eraser pads that allows you to use them in a regular drill. Cost is about $3. I find that if you put it in a standard 18v cordless, top speed is much slower than a pneumatic or even an corded drill and is great for debadging. You almost have to try to do any damage to the clear...
Every place I've ever seen the pad has the arbor as well, just may have to ask...

BTW: Your 3rd Gen Dak brothers STOLE my DIY on using one to debadge.
It's in the FAQ section if anyone is interested...

Those do look good! This is the first time I've seen them. I have no badges on my truck right now cause I never put them on after repainting it last summer, but I might have to buy a pair of those for the fenders!

I did not know that! I'm not really surprised though. It also doesn't matter much to me cause I have every air tool you'd find in a body shop along with a 3.5 hp 60 gal ingersoll rand air compressor

Also, I have used those things more times than I have ever wanted to when I worked at the body shop. We did work for the local town, and I can't even count on both my hands how many times I destriped an entire retired police car! Those wheels work well on an air grinder, you just need a steady hand on the trigger to keep it going at a slow speed.

I got the arbor when I bought my wheel. It was 2.99. I figured I might as well get the arbor while I'm there, make my life easier.

And 95_318SLT, I love those 3rd gen badges. I will be getting two of those for my fenders. They are beautiful!

Look for a post with pics soon guys... I just detailed her today.
