Default Odd rear bounce when breaking

I have a 2000 Dakota Quad Cab 4.7 4X4. 186K miles.

Lately I have notice that when breaking and decelerating between 40 and 30 MPH I am feeling an odd bounce. The bounce seems to be coming from the rear. Breaks are relatively new ( 1 year old). All 4 were done at the same time and look good. I have inspected the rear suspension but find nothing obvious. Any suggestions of what this could be????

would u say a bounce? or a thump/clunk?

maybe your rear differential is done...gears all screwed up inside. pull off the diff cover and see if there is anything obvious. hell, if u take off cover only to find no fluid bhind there, that's what led to the problem. good luck have fun

Flat spots on tires, bubble on tires, check the tires, or just pull the fill plug on the dif and stick your finger in it and see if there is fluid.

Definitely a bounce or even a shake up and down. No noise related to it. I check both differentials and gear oil is at the recommended levels.

All your wheels weights still on? If the tires are out of balance she will throw you around pretty good.

Well is appears that the rotors were warped. Replaced them and everything is riding smooth.
These were only 1 year old and pads had a lot left to them. not sure what caused this to happen.
