I'd like to keep my bodycoloured grille, Im looking for some inserts to flow a bit better. But whatever I go with im putting a screen in behind to catch the bugs.. any ideas on what kind of grille would look good on mine then for unique grille inserts? That barbed wire looks pretty killer on there.

If i use a black bug screen, then I could probably easily mount almost anything onto it.

I wanted to cut the cross bar out to open up the air into my cold air intake then I put 1/4" wire screen in and painted the whole thing black. Barbed wire was painted silver and fastened to the screen. The only reason it is black is so the barbed wire stands out. I just wish I could get rid of the misfire.

Those SS inserts are very easy to install, and look VERY GOOD on any Dakota...

i suggest you go with them. otherwise figuring out how to mount your own will be a PITA.

IMHO go with the SS inserts.

Well, stainless Double Jack Chain mounted on black window screen I think would look decent. But I would but it in an "X" formation, keeping the stock dodge crosshairs.. I Think I'll try that first. I did get a homebrewed Air intake made up today though, jsut to remove the air resonator thing
